Dover Saints Scooter Club 1965

The following photographs were taken by the Dover Express for an article which was published in that local paper.

The first photo shows members of the Club in the Market Square, Dover, "planning" a rideout.  The A to Z of London gives it away that the photo was posed for the camera.  I am the one on the left looking at the map.





The next photo shows the Club going round the Market Square.







The final photo is the Club going up Crable Hill, Dover.  I am on the Vespa GL 150 at the front right

I wonder how many of those scooters have survived? 
Not just age & rust, but the 80's. 
It was a nasty time for an un-loved scooter.

Wow, that's amazing when you think how many must have been scrapped over the years. 
I've still got my 1st scooter, a Vespa 150 Super that I got in '86 & most of my 2nd, a Lambretta TV 175. 
The Supers a hand painted heap & the TV's now a cut-down. (80's scooter skin.)
Both are in bits but the Supers going back together slowly.
